Skycast Solutions today unveiled their latest innovation with the TabCaddy “HighPocket” version specially designed for plastic-backed airline seats that have a high position literature pocket. The product will be displayed and demonstrated at the Aircraft Interiors Expo in Hamburg, Germany April 8-10. TabCaddy™ provides the ultimate solution to provide passengers a comfortable and safe way to use and view their personal devices. The patent-pending design supports all sizes of personal devices (PEDs) – from smartphones to 10.3” tablets. It also allows the passenger to adjust the viewing position easily in order to find the perfect viewing angle or account for seat recline. It stores neatly behind the tray when not in use. Other features and benefits for the passenger:
- Frees entire tray table for food and beverage
- Provides stable surface for touchscreen operation
- Operates easily – with ‘one finger’ motion
- Supports phones and tablets inside cases securely
“We cannot wait to get this version of the TabCaddy flying,” said Bill Boyer, CEO of Skycast Solutions. “The initial response to the product has been very positive and it’s our hope to have this in the air by this summer.”
The TabCaddy for this type of seat has been perfected over nearly a year to meet the many requirements for a seat-back tablet holder. The all-aluminum construction is engineered for rugged reliability but weighs in at less than ½ pound.
“Airlines have seen incredible growth in the number of personal electronic devices that passengers are bringing on board”, said Greg Latimer, President of Skycast Solutions. “The TabCaddy provides airlines with a low cost but high impact way to enhance their inflight experience.”
